PEX Manifolds play an
important role in Radiant Heat applications. Manifolds are the
place where supply water from the heat source is separated into
smaller lines and dispersed throughout the Radiant Heat System.
PEX Manifolds act as a hub in a radiant heat system. Supply PEX
manifolds have a supply line coming in to the manifolds and
secondary lines exiting the manifolds. With return PEX manifolds,
secondary lines gather at the manifolds and the water exits
through a single return line.
All of the PEX manifolds listed above can be used in a radiant heat
system.
PEX Plumbing
Manifolds should be used to ease the installation of
PEX Plumbing
systems. In a
PEX plumbing system, the manifolds will act as a hub for
water transportation. These manifolds include copper manifolds.
Be sure to select the right
PEX fittings
and adapters to go along with these manifolds.
A manifold plumbing
system is similar to breaker box for the electrical system in
the home. PEX manifolds provide a common location from which all
the plumbing fixtures are supplied. Some PEX manifolds feature
fixture shut-off valves allowing the user to stop water flow to
individual fixtures from one location. Others are termination
PEX manifolds, which may feed the PEX plumbing requirements for
a room or set of rooms and reduce the number of PEX fittings
required in the plumbing system.
